Tay said drinks were on him when all that madness in the Western Kingdom was over. Vegas wasn't about to forget that. There was a lot to celebrate, after all! Vegas and Pete eloped, Tay survived, they were all reunited, they had some solid plans for the future. They may not be able to find a club in the way Tay would like, but if the night turned into a bar crawl, would any of them complain? Wherever they landed, Vegas was sure to be buying the most expensive drinks on the menu since he's not paying.

The place had music -- nothing like they're used to, but at least it had music. Which would make for an interesting night as the longer they're out and the more champagne Vegas drinks, the more likely he is to try to drag the others into dancing (especially Pete). It may not be what they're used to, but they can still have a good time, right?

And Vegas being Vegas, dramatically staggered back as if that poke had done some real damage. But he smiled the whole time and laughed. They were all having a good time and that's really all he hoped for for the evening.

"Can I steal a piece for Pete, too?"

"Yeah! Oh and I made something for both of you when I found out what the party was for." Reaching into his things, he pulled out a piece of paper that he'd carefully kept from getting bent. This he handed over to Vegas who would recognize it immediately.

Pete and Vegas at the dinner a few weeks ago. Arms wrapped around each other and smiling at each other with such love in their eyes. "My gift to both of you. I wasn't able to get it framed though..."

Vegas seemed to soften when he looked at that drawing. Was that what other people saw when he and Pete were together? A soft smile curled his lips and he held the portrait delicately in his hands.

"Thank you," he uttered with genuine gratitude. "It's wonderful."

Riley's face lit up. As challenging as things had been for him recently getting to see a smile on the face of someone who was important to him filled him with so much warmth. Because he knew how special this was for Vegas. Sure they'd just met but the man had really had his back and that meant the world to him.

"You're welcome. I figured some couples like to have wedding pictures taken of them but you guys missed out on that. So now you have a picture even if it's not of the wedding day."

Vegas was quiet for a few seconds and then pulled Riley into a tight embrace -- careful not to crinkle the picture! He'll blame being drunk later, but the gift moved him. Especially coming from someone who hadn't known him very long.

"Thank you! I know Pete will love it."

Riley was surprised by the embrace but he quickly returned it. After all, he was really glad that it meant so much to Vegas! Likely to Pete too. It was what he'd been hoping for which meant this was a definite success in his book.

"You're welcome. I'm happy you both love it so much."

"We love you too!" he declared. "Just... in a different kinda way." His drunk brain felt like he had to explain that statement.

That earned Vegas a playful little shove. "I know it's different, you drunk! You're my family, not my boyfriends!"

But he was still giggling anyway and shoving a piece of candy at Vegas' mouth.

Okay, he'll accept that candy! As long as Riley knows he's cared for, his drunken brain is fine with that. "Are you having fun?"

"Yeah. It's actually a lot of fun being the sober one and watching you all get sillier as you get drunker." Riley giggled a bit. He was pretty this had been what he was like when he was drunk too. Sure he had his memories of what happened but it was one thing to remember and another thing to witness things.

"I'm going to have to make sure I point you all in the right direction when it's time for you to get home!"

"Time to go home?" Vegas furrowed his brow and shook his head. "No, no, no, that's not for a long, looooong time yet!" He had no idea what time it was.

This was hilarious being on the other end of the drunk thing. Riley giggled and shook his head. "Don't worry. No one is going home yet! I promise!"

He looked pouty for half a second, then brightened at the reassurance that the party wasn't over yet. He slung an arm around Riley's shoulders and pulled him in for a little hug.

"Thank you again for sharing this with us." The truth was, Vegas didn't have a lot of friends back home, so having them here was a very nice change. "Someday when you get married, I'll throw a big party for you!"

Riley ended up getting pulled right against Vegas since he was sure the drunk man didn't realize his own strength at the moment. He didn't mind though and just laughed as he leaned against him.

"Oh yeah? A really big one?"

He nodded, incredibly serious! So serious it was almost comical. "The biggest!"

He tried so hard to not laugh more and to try to pretend to be serious too. It was incredibly hard given how Vegas being so serious about this was hysterical. "Complete with lots of sweets?"

He nodded again, deadly serious. "A buffet of sweets! It'll be perfect just for you~"

"A whole buffet? That's perfect! There could be so many different sweets there!" And he would try literally every single one without fail.

"A whole buffet," he nodded to ensure Riley understood. "But just for you. No one else."

"Just for me?" Vegas was so silly like this but he loved it. "What if I want to share with my future partner?"

He pouts thoughtfully. Thinking is not easy at his level of inebriation, so it takes him a moment before he nodded slowly. "I guess that would be okay."

Riley burst out laughing and then leaned over to give Vegas a nice friendly kiss on the cheek. He always was an affectionate person, even with very innocent things like that. "Thanks. Whoever I end up with will be grateful for your generosity to us."

"Hey, whoa! Careful now! I'm a married man," he informed, in case Riley had forgotten.

He laughed and poked Vegas' nose. "I know you are. I won't ever try to steal you. But family should get cheek kisses because I love them too."

Vegas blinked at the poke, his eyes bleary and a little watery. "Okay. Just as long as it's 'cause we're family."
