Tay said drinks were on him when all that madness in the Western Kingdom was over. Vegas wasn't about to forget that. There was a lot to celebrate, after all! Vegas and Pete eloped, Tay survived, they were all reunited, they had some solid plans for the future. They may not be able to find a club in the way Tay would like, but if the night turned into a bar crawl, would any of them complain? Wherever they landed, Vegas was sure to be buying the most expensive drinks on the menu since he's not paying.

The place had music -- nothing like they're used to, but at least it had music. Which would make for an interesting night as the longer they're out and the more champagne Vegas drinks, the more likely he is to try to drag the others into dancing (especially Pete). It may not be what they're used to, but they can still have a good time, right?

The touch earned a shiver that ran through Henry's body. His ear twitched and cheeks colored. He reached up bashfully to claim the hand stroking his ear in both of his own. It was too much PDA! Despite that, he lifted Gaura's hand to his lips and pressed a quick kiss to the back of it.

"You spoil me."

He knew the sign and he gave in quickly. Never would he push Henry too far in terms of public displays. The man had every right to be as comfortable as he was. A little push here and there was fine but when Henry showed that he didn't want more Gaura always respected that. So when his hand was taken down to be kissed he just gave him a warm smile instead.

"You're worth spoiling."

Perpahs someday henry's Victorian mores won't be as much of an issue for them. He's just so self-conscious of showing too much affection in public. It's something that's simply not done in his time, but he's actively working on that. There are plenty of people he's seen in Nippon who kiss and hold each other in plain view of others. But he appreciates that Gaura respects the boundaries he has. He offers his fiance a warm, loving smile and keeps hold of his hand. That's a good compromise.

"So are you." He looked over to the couple this party was celebrating, then softened when his gaze returned to Gaura. "I wonder if we look as happy to others."

He had to remember what the couple was wearing and was grateful when he spotted the diamonds. The new pieces made Vegas and Pete very recognizable at least. Though he wouldn't have known that they were happy except to assume so given how this party was to celebrate their marriage. But rather than be a downer about it, Gaura gave Henry's hand a squeeze and smiled at him.

"Tell me what you see when you look at them. Paint me a picture with your words."

Henry squeezed Gaura's hand in turn as he turned his attention to the newlyweds. This time it wasn't just to admire them, but to really scrutinize them.

"When they look at each other, it's as if the rest of the world just fades away and it's only the two of them. If they're within arm's reach of each other, they're always touching. I get the sense that they can't get enough of each other. But their eyes are alight when they see each other."

Leaning against Henry, he rested his head on his shoulder while he listened to him describe the other two. It warmed his heart to hear how in love they were from the description that his fiance painted for him. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

"If that's what they look like then I think people see that in us too. All the things you said...that's what it's like for me when I find you in a room."

This time when Henry blushed, it wasn't due to embarrassment! He dared to slip an arm around Gaura and give him a quick squeeze. Yes, right there in front of everyone!

Loving the subtle affection he was given, Gaura looked up at Henry with a smile. Gently, he pressed a kiss to his cheek, keeping the contact brief to remain in the realm of appropriate for his more conservative fiance. "I love you."

"I love you, too," he murmured quietly.

"Have you been having fun? This is the second party we've gone to together," he noted with a little laugh. It was rather fun actually.

"I have."

A soft, wistful kind of expression came over Henry's face and he stared out at their drunken, happy, and blissfully in happy friends.

"I hope our friends will be just as happy when we get married."

Gaura smiled at him and looked out at everyone dancing and laughing together. Sometimes even singing poorly to the songs even though they clearly didn't know them. It was beautiful.

"I think they will because they love us."

He followed Gaura's gaze and let out a happy little sigh. It was nice to be a part of someone's happiness. Then he looked at Gaura, suddenly serious, and took both of his hands in his own. "I want to get married in our garden."

Returning his gaze to Henry, he blinked as he heard the serious tone to his voice. Only for his gaze to soften and turn so warm as he smiled at him. Married in their garden. It was so perfect and romantic. More than that it was such a representation of what mattered to them and being married there...

"I would love that."

Henry burst into smiles and hugged Gaura right there in front of everyone! He thought it was perfect, too! It was perfectly them. Why shouldn't they share that happy day with their friends in the place they loved?

Gaura laughed and embraced the man he loved in turn. Winter wouldn't give them just the right setting with their garden but he had an idea that could work. "What about in spring? When there's so much new growth and color?"

Henry blinked. "This spring?" His heart fluttered at the thought. Long engagements weren't uncommon in his time. So he never pressed Gaura to set a date or even talk about any plans for their marriage. It would all happen in good time. And this time? Was definitely good. Henry hugged him close and felt tears sting his eyes.

"I would love that!"

Gaura knew he'd said just the right thing without even meaning to. Smiling, he nodded his head as he reached up to push a strand of Henry's hair back behind one of his handsome fox ears. Spring. Yes, this spring would be perfect and he was so happy to know it was met with approval.

"This spring let's get married in our garden."

When he lets Gaura free from his embrace, Henry takes both his hands in his own. "Do you think we can wear flowers, too?"

"We could make flower crowns and wear them." That would suit them well. He was sure that without having even made the crowns yet. After all, they'd have to wait until closer to the wedding for that.

"I'd like that," he murmured. But he was excited and it showed in the way he shifted his weight from one foot to the other and, of course, the wagging of the betraying tail! "It will be perfect for us."

Gaura's eyes drifted past Henry's shoulders to look at his tail. Which made him giggle a little when he realized what it was doing. "Henry. Your tail is wagging."

Henry frowned over his shoulder and hissed out "You fiend!" to his tail.

That made the pink haired man giggle even more, his hand covering his mouth. "It's cute."

Henry huffed quietly. But then he smiled slowly. "At least now you can read my body language better, even if you can't read my expressions."
